Coming by car? The inn has no parking

The inn has no parking. The streets around the shrine approach are narrow and steep. Please leave your car at a paid car park and come by bus, taxi or on foot. We cannot reserve a car park for you.

Hashiriyu: the hot spring source at the bottom of the steps

Hashiriyu (走り湯) is a hot spring source by the sea, in a cave dug sideways into the hillside. You can look inside the cave. The water is very hot and the cave is full of steam, so do not touch the water, and expect your glasses and camera lens to fog up. Opening hours and rules can change, so please check the Izu Peninsula Geopark page or the local tourist information before you go.

837 stone steps, split at our door: 345 and 492

From Hashiriyu, a stone stairway climbs up to the main hall of Izusan Shrine: 837 steps in all. Our inn is on the way.

  • Hashiriyu → 123 MUSIC & RESORTS: 345 steps
  • 123 MUSIC & RESORTS → main hall of Izusan Shrine: 492 steps

On the day you arrive, see Hashiriyu, then climb 345 steps to the inn and rest. Next morning, climb the remaining 492 steps to the shrine. The steps can be slippery in the rain and after dark. Please walk them in daylight.
